Buy a personalised book for one child in a family and you will hear about it from the other. Siblings keep score, and "why is it her name on the cover?" is a question with no good answer at bedtime. One book each, or one book together? There are two ways to do it, and they suit different families. One book each. Every child is the hero of their own story, with their own face and name on their own cover. Nobody is the sidekick, and nobody has to share. One book with both. Both children in the same story. Cosier for twins or children close in age, but they share one book. We make the first kind: each book has one child as the hero. If you want both children in one story, Hooray Heroes has a book for two children, and our comparison of the main brands covers the others. Ordering several, paying delivery once With us, you add a book for each child to the same order and delivery is charged once, because it is one parcel. In the UK, two books come to £53.98 with delivery, rather than £57.98 ordered separately. They arrive together, in 1–2 weeks from your order, printing included. Making the books talk to each other The second character in our story is a grown-up reading buddy whose name and relationship you choose. In a younger child's book you can choose Big Sister or Big Brother and use the older child's name, so the story names them. The buddy is drawn as the book's own grown-up character, not from a photo, so the older child is named rather than pictured. In the older child's book, choose a grandparent, an auntie or a godparent. Each child is the hero of their own book, and the family is named in both. Twins For twins, one book each matters even more, because twins are so often treated as a pair. Each book is drawn from that child's own photo, so even identical twins get their own face, their own hairstyle and their own name. Use a separate photo of each child, on their own, rather than one photo of both. Ages Our story is written for 0 to 6, and we draw each child at their own age's height. A toddler and a six-year-old get the same story, each drawn at their own size. Do I pay delivery for each book? No. Add a book for each child to one order and delivery is charged once, because the books travel together. Can both children be in the same Gli Books book? No. Each book has one child as the hero. You can give the reading buddy a sibling's name, but the buddy is drawn as the book's own grown-up character, not from a photo. Will identical twins look different in their books? Each book is drawn from that child's own photo, so use a separate, clear photo of each twin.
